| 1. Start with a pair of trousers. |
2. Create a new layer and draw a stripe following the direction of the leg. I've crocked the line where the folds are to give the line a bit more depth. |
3. Duplicate the layer as many times you need in order to fill the whole leg. I've chosen a 2px space between the lines. Merge the striped layers into one layer. |
| |
| 4. Repeat the procedure on the other leg on a new layer. |
5. Remove any stripes that are double. |
6. Merge the two layers. |

| 7. Go to the trousers layer, use the wand tool to select the area outside of the trousers. Go back to the stripes layer and clear the selected area. |
8. Use the wand tool again, hold Shft + Ctrl and click the stripes layer in the layer window. This should make the stripes selected. Keep the selection, delete the stripes layer, go to Edit > Copy Merged and then Paste. This should give you a copy of the stripes from the trousers layer. |
9. Brighten the stripes by going to Image > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast changing the Brightness to +20 and Contrast +30. |
| 10. Instead of doing step 9 you can set the layer to Dodge instead to give the stripes a shinier look. |
11. Without the zoom-in. (Dodged layer version to the left) |
